BiteCode Privacy Policy

BiteCode (“the App”) helps users scan food product barcodes and view ingredients,
nutrition information, and a personal suitability score based on preferences stored
on the device.
1. Data we process
- On your device only: sensitivity/allergen profile, scan history, and favorites (local storage). These are not uploaded to our servers for account login — the App does not require creating an account.
- Camera: used only to scan barcodes. The live camera feed is processed on the device and is not stored or uploaded by us.
- Product lookups: scanned barcodes may be queried against Open Food Facts and/or our product cache (Supabase) to retrieve publicly available product information.
- Manual product submissions: if you add missing product details, that information may be stored in our database to improve availability for other users.
2. Advertising
The App shows ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect device and advertising identifiers
and usage data according to Google’s policies to serve and measure ads. See

5. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the App if you are under the
minimum age required in your country.

product label before eating.

BiteCode, gıda ürünü barkodlarını tarayarak içindekiler, besin değerleri ve cihazda
saklanan tercihlere göre kişisel uygunluk skoru gösteren bir uygulamadır.
1. İşlenen veriler
- Yalnızca cihazınızda: hassasiyet/alerjen profili, tarama geçmişi ve favoriler (yerel depolama). Hesap açmanız gerekmez; bu veriler hesap sunucusuna yüklenmez.
- Kamera: yalnızca barkod okumak için kullanılır. Canlı görüntü tarafımızca saklanmaz veya yüklenmez.
- Ürün sorguları: barkodlar Open Food Facts ve/veya ürün önbelleğimiz (Supabase) üzerinden kamuya açık ürün bilgisi için sorgulanabilir.
- Manuel ürün ekleme: eksik ürün bilgisi eklerseniz, bu bilgi diğer kullanıcıların erişimi için veritabanında saklanabilir.
2. Reklamlar
Uygulama Google AdMob ile reklam gösterir. Google, reklam sunmak ve ölçmek için cihaz /
reklam kimlikleri ve kullanım verilerini kendi politikalarına göre işleyebilir.
